Hits 1 Weekend Countdown

This is the 21st countdown of 2021 and this week Spyder Harrison is back from his 2 week vacation. Last week, Taylor Swift's "Mr. Perfectly Fine" became the 8th different #1 song of the year. Will it continue to be #1 for a second week in a row? Scroll down to find out.

This week, there is only one song entering and leaving. Coldplay's "Higher Power" (was #30) is leaving the countdown after being on for one week and will be moving to Hit-Bound. It originally skipped Hit-Bound and went straight to the Weekend Countdown last week.

The one new song is "90s Kids" from the new Hits 1 To Watch artist Jax (at #30). Just this past week, she was announced as the new Hits 1 To Watch artist after about 3 weeks of not having a Hits 1 To Watch. The last Hits 1 To Watch was Lil Huddy.

For the 29 existing songs, 8 are staying in place and 3 are moving up or down by only 1 spot [2 down and 1 up]. So only 18 (62%) of those 29 songs moved by more than 1 spot. Of those, 8 dropped down in position with an average decrease of -4.88. The other 10 moved up with an average increase of +4. Average movement on the chart excluding songs that moved by 0 or 1 spot was +0.056 spots. Including all 29 existing songs, movement was 0 spots.

The biggest drop was "Treat People With Kindness" from Harry Styles which dropped 9 spots from #18 to #27. The next biggest drop was Silk Sonic's "Leave The Door Open" which fell 8 spots from #10 to #18.

The biggest jump at +7 spots went to two songs: "WITHOUT YOU (Remix)" from The Kid LAROI/Miley Cyrus and "Remember That Night?" from Sara Kays. The remix of "WITHOUT YOU" went from #19 to #12 and "Remember That Night?" went from #17 to #10. The next biggest jump went to Billie Eilish's "Your Power", up 6 spots from #28 to #22
