Hits 1 Weekend Countdown - 2021 May 22

This is the 21st countdown of 2021 and this week Spyder Harrison is back from his 2 week vacation. Last week, Taylor Swift's "Mr. Perfectly Fine" became the 8th different #1 song of the year. Will it continue to be #1 for a second week in a row? Scroll down to find out. This week, there is only one song entering and leaving. Coldplay's "Higher Power" (was #30) is leaving the countdown after being on for one week and will be moving to Hit-Bound. It originally skipped Hit-Bound and went straight to the Weekend Countdown last week. The one new song is "90s Kids" from the new Hits 1 To Watch artist Jax (at #30). Just this past week, she was announced as the new Hits 1 To Watch artist after about 3 weeks of not having a Hits 1 To Watch. The last Hits 1 To Watch was Lil Huddy. For the 29 existing songs, 8 are staying in place and 3 are moving up or down by only 1 spot [2 down and 1 up]. So only 18 (62%) of those 29 songs moved by more than 1 s

Hit-Bound with Mikey Piff - 2021 May 21

This is the 21st posting of Hit-Bound in 2021 and week 61 of the "Hits 1 at Home Edition" of Hit-Bound. There is finally a new Hits 1 To Watch artist, Jax, and her featured song is "90s Kids". I personally think this is the best Hits 1 To Watch Artist (and associated song) they have ever picked thus far. In addition to Jax's song, there are 2 new songs and 1 returning song to Hit-Bound this week. The two other new songs are "Higher Power" from Coldplay, and "I DID IT" from DJ Khaled, Megan Thee Stallion, etc. Lil Tjay and 6LACK's song "Calling My Phone" is returning to Hit-Bound after falling out of the countdown last week. There is also 1 song version update: "The Girl From Rio (Remix)" adds DaBaby to Anitta's song. Coldplay's "Higher Power" actually skipped Hit-Bound and went directly to the Weekend Countdown last week -- but only for one week, as it dropped out of the countdown this week (Satu

Hits 1 Weekend Countdown - 2021 May 15

This is the 20th countdown of 2021 and the second week with guest hosts. The Morning Mashup crew of Stanley T, Ryan Sampson, and Nicole are filling in for Spyder Harrison. This will be the last week they will be filling in for Spyder, he will be returning on Monday, May 17 to DJ during the mid-day and to host next weekend's countdown. Last week, "We're Good" from Dua Lipa held the #1 spot for a second week in a row. Will it get to be #1 for a third week, or will another song become the 8th different #1 song this year? Scroll down to find out. This week, there are 2 songs leaving and entering. "Calling My Phone" from Lil Tjay/6LACK (was #28) and "willow" from Taylor Swift (was #23) are both leaving the countdown this week. Lil Tjay and 6LACK's song never went above #28 on the countdown since it entered on April 10 and Taylor Swift's song rapidly fell on May 1, the week after a new #1 song took its place on the countdown. The 2 new s

Hit-Bound with Mikey Piff - 2021 May 14

This is the 20th posting of Hit-Bound in 2021 and week 60 of the "Hits 1 at Home Edition" of Hit-Bound. Mikey Piff's count is still off by one week since he didn't count the time Ryan Sampson filled in for him. There is still no Hits 1 To Watch artist, so there are still only 15 songs (not counting the 4 'Most Wutchuwanted' songs). There are 3 new songs to Hit-Bound this week. The three new songs are "Build A Bitch" from Bella Poarch, "Lean On Me" from Cheat Codes/Tinashe, and "La Di Die" from Nessa Barrett/jxdn. "Lean On Me" is also being featured as the Weekend Countdown Extra for this week. This is the 6th week in a row that a song on Hit-Bound is the Countdown Extra. The 3 songs leaving Hit-Bound are "The Business" from Tiesto, "Track Star" from Mooski, and "I'm not Pretty (Remix)" from Jessia/Bebe Rexha. Tiesto's song had been on Hit-Bound for 11 consecutive weeks, since F

Hit-Bound with Mikey Piff - 2021 May 07

This is the 19th posting of Hit-Bound in 2021 and presumably week 59 of the "Hits 1 at Home Edition" of Hit-Bound. Mikey Piff is back this week but he didn't mention that Hit-Bound was an "at-home" edition, so he may already be back in the studio. There is still no Hits 1 To Watch artist, so again there are only 15 songs (not counting the 4 'Most Wutchuwanted' songs). This week, there are only 2 new songs to Hit-Bound. Those two are "The Way You Felt" from Alec Benjamin and "I'm not Pretty (Remix)" from Jessia/Bebe Rexha. Leaving Hit-Bound are "On The Ground" from ROSÉ and "Too Late" from Cash Cash/Wiz Khalifa/Lucas Graham. ROSÉ's song was on Hit-Bound for 2 weeks and will not be moving to the Weekend Countdown. "Too Late" returned to Hit-Bound last week after falling out of the Weekend Countdown. Anitta's song "Girl From Rio" is also being featured as the Weekend Countdown Extra

Hits 1 Weekend Countdown - 2021 May 08

This is the 19th countdown of 2021 and the first one with a guest host. The Morning Mashup crew of Stanley, Ryan Sampson, and Nicole are filling in for Spyder Harrison. At the end of last week's countdown, Spyder said that he would be on vacation for a few weeks. With the new hosts comes an increase in the amount of commentary before each song. Last week, "We're Good" from Dua Lipa took the #1 spot away from "Overdrive" to become the 7th different #1 song of the year. Will it get to be #1 for a second week, or will another song steal its spot? Scroll down to find out. This week, there is only one song entering and leaving. "I'm not Pretty" from Jessia is leaving the countdown this week, it was #23 last week. In the past 3 weeks, it had been hanging around the #20 position or lower. The 1 new song is "Your Power" from Billie Eilish which is entering at #29. Her song skipped Hit-Bound but had been playing occasionally the past

Hits 1 Weekend Countdown - 2021 May 01

This is the 18th countdown of 2021 and the first in May. Last week, "Overdrive" from Conan Gray took the #1 spot to become the 6th different #1 song of the year. Will it continue to be #1 for a second week in a row? Scroll down to find out. This week, there are 3 songs entering and leaving. "Too Late" from Cash Cash/Wiz Khalifa/Lucas Graham (was #27), "Therefore I Am" from Billie Eilish (#18), and "You Broke Me First" from Tate McRae (#12) are leaving the countdown this week. "Too Late" is moving back to Hit-Bound and here on the Weekend Countdown it never went above #26. "Therefore I Am" had been falling since reaching its peak of #3 on April 10. Tate McRae's song "You Broke Me First" had been on the countdown since early December and was consistently in the top 10. It never went below #12 until it dropped out this week; it peaked at #4 on April 3. The 3 new songs are: "Lil Bit" from Nelly/Flor

Hit-Bound ft. Ryan Sampson - 2021 April 30

This is the 18th posting of Hit-Bound in 2021 and week 58 of the "Hits 1 at Home Edition" of Hit-Bound. Mikey Piff was gone all this week so Ryan Sampson from the Morning Mashup is filling in. There is still no Hits 1 To Watch artist, so there are still only 15 songs (not counting the 4 'Most Wutchuwanted' songs). Just like the last two weeks, there are 3 new songs and 1 returning song to Hit-Bound this week. The three new songs are "RAPSTAR" from Polo G, "Girl From Rio" from Anitta, and "telepatía" from Kali Uchis. The one returning song is "Too Late" from Cash Cash/Wiz Khalifa/Lucas Graham. It is dropping out of the Weekend Countdown after being there since March 27. It never rose beyond #26 and was #28 in its final week on the countdown. Kali Uchis' song "telepatía" is also being featured as the Weekend Countdown Extra for this week. This is the fifth week in a row that a song on Hit-Bound is the Countdown E
